Kawai DG30. A modern digital piano that leaves a great impression:
This is the bold concept behind the new DG30. This striking instrument combines authentic Kawai digital piano keyboard and sound technologies, and pairs them with a contemporary grand piano-like cabinet, finished in a luxurious ebony polish.
As a fine piece of furniture, the DG30 is sure to complement the interior of almost any room.
The touch of a grand piano: Responsive Hammer III keyboard action
The DG30’s Responsive Hammer III keyboard action recreates the supreme touch of an acoustic grand piano, with its realistic movement and rigid, springless design providing a smooth and natural piano playing experience.
Triple sensor key detection system that improves responsiveness and accuracy.
Structural reinforcements throughout the action set help minimize noise and key wobble.
88 keys with authentic weighted
In addition to the Kawai DG30’s grade-weighted hammers, the Responsive Hammer III keyboard action also features built-in counterweights within each key in black and white.
As with an acoustic piano, these finely balanced weights help lighten keyboard play during pianissimo passages, while adding a sense of greater substance when played hard.
Triple sensor key detection
The Responsive Hammer III keyboard action uses a precise triple sensor key detection system to enhance playing realism.
The added third sensor improves responsiveness when the same key is played repeatedly and allows the sound of a single note to gradually “layer” without losing the previous pitch.
Additionally, Kawai’s action technology also monitors the rate at which each key is raised, influencing the release character of piano sounds.
Lowering simulation
As the most authentic digital piano keyboard action in its class, Responsive Hammer III even reproduces the “drop” characteristic of acoustic piano actions.
This subtle “notch” sensation can be felt when the keys of a grand piano are played very softly, and can be used by experienced pianists to aid control when playing pianissimo passages.
